{"id":450,"date":"2008-07-05T14:04:00","date_gmt":"2008-07-05T13:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.free-from.com\/blog\/?p=450"},"modified":"2017-05-20T12:11:24","modified_gmt":"2017-05-20T11:11:24","slug":"surely-they-dont-put-gluten-in-that","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.free-from.com\/blog\/surely-they-dont-put-gluten-in-that\/","title":{"rendered":"Surely they don&#8217;t put gluten in that?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.free-from.com\/blog\/wp-content\/lipstickprizes.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"lipstick prizes\" width=\"186\" height=\"284\" align=\"right\" \/>A while ago, I announced a competition to win <a href=\"http:\/\/www.free-from.com\/blog\/?p=442\">gluten free lipstick<\/a> &#8230; and now the time has come to announce the winner.<\/p>\n<p>I used a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mathgoodies.com\/calculators\/random_no_custom.html\">random number generator <\/a>to pick the winner, who is:\u00a0 Issi!<\/p>\n<p>Issi, I&#8217;ll be sending you an email to let you know, and I&#8217;ll send one to AfterGlow cosmetics as well, who will be in touch to arrange delivery.\u00a0 AfterGlow kindly sponsored this competition by providing a fab prize of two of their gluten free lipsticks.<\/p>\n<p>Many thanks to AfterGlow, then, and also to everyone who entered.  You came up with some very surprising places to find gluten:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>envelopes and stamps &#8211; look for peel and stick!<\/li>\n<li>potato skins dusted with flour to stop them sticking<\/li>\n<li>chips (french fries) also dusted with flour to stop them sticking<\/li>\n<li>washing up liquid -I can&#8217;t imagine why<\/li>\n<li>panty liners &#8211; be careful if you come up with skin rashes if you touch gluten<\/li>\n<li>roasted almonds &#8211; remember to check labels<\/li>\n<li>\nbaking powder &#8211; yes, this catches people out<\/li>\n<li>coffee beans &#8211; dusted with flour<\/li>\n<li>tea containing barley &#8211; again, why?<\/li>\n<li>and the glue sticking together the teabags<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, thanks for playing, and watch out for those unusual places to find gluten!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A while ago, I announced a competition to win gluten free lipstick &#8230; and now the time has come to announce the winner.
