On Friday night, for the first time ever as a family, we had take-away fish and chips.<\/p>\n
This wouldn’t seem very exciting for most people, but given that we had four standard portions, and one gluten-free portion, from the same shop, at the same time, with no hassle or worry about cross-contamination, it was a big deal for us.<\/p>\n
I love fish and chips (yes, I know about the high fat content) and haven’t had it for ten years, because my daughter can’t. Or couldn’t. A chippy in our local town of Congleton (Green Island Chippy) now offers gluten free fish and chips (and other items) using the Glu-2-go batter<\/a> – which means that we can all have a take-out meal together.
