Gluten free play dough

You will need:

2 cups of gluten free flour
1 cup of salt
4 tablespoons of Cream of Tartar
2 cups of water
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Food colouring
A saucepan

Put all the ingredients into the saucepan, and cook over low heat, stirring all the time, until the mixture gradually gets firm. It will start out very sloppy, so don’t worry!

Remove it from the heat, let it cool slightly and then knead it on a table to get rid of any lumps.

Store it in an airtight container – it will keep for several months. Obviously, if you want two different colours, you can divide the mixture into two different pans, and use different food colouring for each.

I’ve written a book summarising what we’ve learnt over 20 years of dealing with the gluten free diet, and it might be just what you’re looking for. It packs the lessons we’ve learned into what I hope is a helpful and straightforward guidebook. It’s available on Amazon, as a paperback or for your Kindle…
