Gluten Free Book up for Awards

The Multi-Lingual Phrase Passport, part of the Let’s Eat Out! Your Passport to Living Gluten and Allergy Free series, wins Best Books 2006 Award in the Language Guides category in a US competition today by USABookNews.com.

Let’s Eat Out! Your Passport to Living Gluten and Allergy Free has also been a finalist for the USABookNews.com Best Health/Diet book, and is a finalist for the 2006 Benjamin Franklin Award for Best Health Book and Best First Book Non-Fiction.

Co-authored by a coeliac businesswoman and a restaurant industry veteran who have travelled over 2 million miles and eaten in more than 30 countries, this book is based on 4 years of research.

Although I haven’t seen a copy, it sounds great – pocket sized, with over 1,200 food allergen phrases about a range of different allergies translated into four different languages. I suppose its usefulness might depend on how many of the phrases and how much content was about your particular allergen(s) – I’d like to have a look and see.

We can buy Let’s Eat Out here, at www.amazon.co.uk (aff), or at one of the Food Fairs in either Leicester or Penrith, in November. I’m hoping to go to one of these – perhaps Penrith – so will let you know more. Or, if you see a copy first, please let us know what you think of it.

I’ve written a book summarising what we’ve learnt over 20 years of dealing with the gluten free diet, and it might be just what you’re looking for. It packs the lessons we’ve learned into what I hope is a helpful and straightforward guidebook. It’s available on Amazon, as a paperback or for your Kindle…
