Good customer service

Recently we bought a pack of gluten free brioche from Lifestyle, and found it to be inedible, so I binned it. Later, having been prompted by a similar message on the Message Board, I contacted Lifestyle to comment on this.

Very impressively, I received a personal e-mail within hours asking for more details, and a replacement pack within days. Turned out that the first pack hadn’t been proved for long enough, and so the resultant brioche was unsuccessful. The replacement pack was much better – much more what I had expected the first time.

I was very impressed by the level of customer service. Lifestyle wouldn’t have lost me as a customer, as my daughter really enjoys many of their products, but nevertheless, they worked hard to keep me happy. Sometimes, given the restricted options available, I feel that we are a captive market for the manufacturers, but this made me feel valued as a customer. Well done to Lifestyle!

I’ve written a book summarising what we’ve learnt over 20 years of dealing with the gluten free diet, and it might be just what you’re looking for. It packs the lessons we’ve learned into what I hope is a helpful and straightforward guidebook. It’s available on Amazon, as a paperback or for your Kindle…
